Tristan is a registered patent attorney  in the litigation department of Sheridan Ross. His practice focuses on all litigation in patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright disputes, and general commercial litigation. Tristan’s practice includes supporting clients through all aspects of the litigation process from discovery and trial preparation to post-litigation motions and post-grant proceedings.

Before attending law school, Tristan worked as a legal assistant for a general practice litigation firm, where he gained extensive exposure to a full spectrum of litigation filings including pre-trial motions, depositions, and subpoenas. While in law school, Tristan was an Associate Editor for the San Diego Journal of Climate and Energy Law. He also worked as a Research Assistant for the University of San Diego School of Law where he helped develop the Patent Litigation Dockets Report Dataset for the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Tristan also worked as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Michael S. Berg of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.

Tristan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences with a concentration in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  He received his law degree with a concentration in intellectual property and technology law from the University of San Diego School of Law where he was awarded the CALI Award for Future Excellence in International Intellectual Property and the Westover-Giali Scholarship.
