Raphael Samost is a registered patent attorney and associate specializing in patent prosecution within the firm’s mechanical engineering practice group. Leveraging his degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Drexel University and his law degree from Rutgers Law School, Raphael provides tailored counsel to clients across a variety of technical disciplines. His practice focuses on drafting and prosecuting patents, conducting prior art searches, and managing complex IP portfolios. Raphael’s multifaceted experience, technical proficiency, and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable partner for clients seeking innovative solutions to protect and advance their intellectual property.

Raphael is admitted to the Colorado, New Jersey, and United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) bars. He also brings industry insight from managing operations and contracts for over 100 cell towers nationwide, as well as experience from working abroad in Singapore.

Raphael is actively engaged in the IP community, serving as Co-Vice Chair of the New Lawyers Committee and holding leadership positions in AIPLA initiatives that support mentoring and law student development. Beyond his legal practice, he is dedicated to philanthropy, having helped raise over $75,000 to support addiction recovery efforts for The Matthew Tarnopol Foundation, created to honor his late stepbrother.
