Caroline is a skilled trademark attorney who helps startups and established companies bring their intellectual property to the forefront by creating comprehensive protection strategies for their brands.
During law school Caroline took every intellectual property course the school offered, including a trademark law class that solidified her interest in the practice. According to Caroline, “I’ve always had an interest in branding and brand development and evolution, so trademarks are a natural fit for me.”
Caroline’s experience working her way through college as a chocolatier and then for a large technology retailer gives her a unique perspective on how businesses present themselves and how they reach their target clients. Her real-world experience with brand management is the perfect backdrop to the trademark and brand development advice she gives to her clients today.
Caroline feels successful in her job when her clients have something they can point to — whether it is getting a new product or trademark off the ground, or taking the necessary precautions to protect an already established mark, Caroline feels best empowering her client’s success. “It fascinates me to see new brands and products I’ve helped a client protect hit the marketplace,” she says.
Caroline is passionate about her job because she knows her work is connected to the world. Her experience includes domestic and foreign trademark portfolio management from searching and clearance, filing and maintenance, and policing and enforcement of trademark registrations. Her attention to detail and willingness to take a deep dive into big projects is essential in helping clients identify potential issues and long-term solutions. A fastidious attorney, Caroline regularly spots potential problems clients have not yet contemplated, and her ability to conceptualize her clients’ needs within the context of their day-to-day business elevates the counsel she provides on a daily basis.
“I love rolling up my sleeves to unpack complex problems and help my clients find a solution.”
