Sheridan Ross adds three Associates

Sheridan Ross P.C. announced the addition of associates, Tyler Boschert, Cliff Brazil and Rachel Rice, to the firm’s Denver office.

Boschert serves clients in all areas of patent prosecution ranging from patent applications to freedom-to-operate opinions. In addition, he has experience in research, legal and consulting services and analysis of USPTO actions and client responses.

Boschert joined the firm after graduating from the University of Colorado Law School, where he also served as a legal writing teaching assistant.  In addition, he worked with inventors and entrepreneurs through the University of Colorado Technology Transfer Office providing commercial feasibility analyses, appropriate paths for new inventions and counsel in creating startup companies.

Brazil’s practice focuses on patent prosecution as well as enforcement of patents through litigation.  He advises clients in all areas of patent prosecution ranging from legal and market analysis of patentability to prior art search, freedom-to-operate opinions, patent applications, strategies and business transactions.

Brazil joined the firm after graduating from the University of Kansas School of Law where he also worked as a Research Assistant on a wide range of Intellectual Property topics including; synthetic biology standardization efforts, the benefits of varying forms of intellectual property for synthetic biology, statistical analysis of patent application rejections, and the applicability of the “article of manufacture” requirement of design patents to computer generated icons.

Rice’s practice focuses on all aspects of trademark and copyright portfolio development and management.

She advises clients in all areas of domestic and foreign trademark portfolio management including search, filing and clearance to maintenance, policing and enforcement. Rice offers experience in trademark prosecution both nationally and internationally, as well as domain name disputes, copyright disputes and assignments and overall enforcement of trademark rights and registrations.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Rice served as IP Legal Intern for the University of Colorado Technology Transfer Office Bioscience Division.  In addition, she has served as a Laboratory Cancer Research Assistant conducting cloning and genetic research, as well as cell design and mutation studies at the University of Colorado’s MCDB Department.
