Sheridan Ross is pleased to announce that it has promoted attorney Kendria Pearson to a shareholder, effective January 1, 2021. Kendria is an excellent attorney who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to aggressively and successfully protecting the rights of clients, and we are thrilled that she will now be able to leverage her experience and success as a leader in our firm.
Kendria has nearly a decade of experience helping clients in all aspects of patent, trademark, and copyright law, including a depth of experience with patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation. She has passion for helping clients protect and defend their intellectual capital. Kendria focuses her practice on counseling clients on general intellectual property protection and drafting utility and design patent applications to enforcing clients’ patents or trademarks in court.
Kendria, who has a background in aerospace engineering, works with clients to develop and implement intellectual property strategies tailored to their businesses. Her previous work as an engineer gives her unique insights into the problems and issues her clients are facing.
Kendria received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado, College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Also, she completed a work-study abroad opportunity in Regensburg, Germany from 2004 to 2005.
Before joining Sheridan Ross, Kendria served as a law clerk at the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, and for Sun Microsystems, Inc. She also worked for the University of Colorado Technology Transfer Office and BioServe Space Technologies where she drafted software licenses and dealt with export controls. Before law school, she worked at Lockheed Martin and the Boeing Company as an engineering intern.
