Bomkamp’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the electrical, mechanical and computer software industries. He has experience drafting patent applications in a diverse range of technology fields including wireless communications, semiconductor devices, and medical imaging. He has also counseled clients with opinions on patentability, validity, and infringement.
Prior to joining Sheridan Ross, Bomkamp served as an associate in the Washington, D.C.-area law firm Harness, Dickey & Pierce, P.L.C. He also served as a patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, Virginia examining patent applications in the semiconductor field.
