Firm and Shareholders honored by Chambers & Partners 2016

Chambers and Partners has recognized the Sheridan Ross law firm and three of its shareholders in the Chambers USA Guide for 2016.

In addition to the firm being recognized in Band 2 of the Colorado Intellectual Property category, Shareholders Robert Brunelli (Band 3), John Posthumus (Band 2) and Sabrina Stavish (Band 3) were all recognized as leading individual attorneys in the Intellectual Property category.  There were a total 13 firms and 27 attorneys honored by Chambers in the 2016 rankings.

In recognizing the firm, Chambers noted the firm as “A well-established IP boutique that advises clients on complex litigation, as well as patent and trademark portfolio management. Advises on the entire life cycle of an IP asset and is noted for its work in the technical and scientific area.”

In honoring the individual practitioners, the Chambers guide said:

“John Posthumus is a top choice for clients in IP litigation matters in federal courts across the USA. He is well known for his work in cases involving trademark, copyright and patent issues. He represented Re/Max Real Estate in successfully setting aside a court order that incorrectly cancelled one of their trademark registrations.”

“Robert Brunelli serves as cochair of the firm and heads the litigation practice. He is described as ‘a very competent lawyer,’ with one client noting that ‘we know we’re in secure hands’ when working with him. He is well known for his sophisticated handling of IP disputes.”

“The ‘outstanding’ Sabrina Stavish is praised by clients for doing ‘a fantastic job’ in the brand management and strategy space. She is experienced across a range of industries and is noted for her work pertaining to trademarks, internet domains and copyrights.”
