Law Week Colorado: Sheridan Ross Adds One

Denver-based intellectual property law firm Sheridan Ross added Raquel Buckley as an associate. Her practice focuses on patent prosecution as well as enforcement of patents through litigation, advising clients in all areas of patent prosecution ranging from patent applications to freedom-to-operate opinions. Buckley previously was part of the litigation, licensing and patents group of Intel Corp.’s legal department, where she provided a wide range of services in support of Intel’s patent strategy and analysis team related to technology acquisitions and patent litigation.

Fluent in Spanish, Buckley has experience in communicating with Spanish-speaking clients and drafting and translating legal documents into and from Spanish. She was the official translator for a federal Mexican/U.S. trans-boundary litigation case that included translating relevant portions of the Mexican Civil Code.

Buckley has 10 years of engineering experience in industry and academia. She holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the California Institute of Technology and is pursuing her Ph.D. Her industry experience includes various aspects of electrical engineering from wafer level testing to advanced research and algorithm development in wireless communications, most of which she has acquired as an engineer at semiconductor companies and laboratories such as Motorola, IBM and Brookhaven National Labs.
